General > MF Ceilings
MF (Metal Frame) Ceilings are false suspended ceilings which can be used in refurbishments or new build projects. They consist of a metal framework which is used to create a suspension system grid to which plasterboard is fixed. They are extremely quick to install and easy to maintain.
MF ceilings comprise metal products (furring channel, main channel and wall angle) and plasterboards which provide a smooth finished ceiling without joints. The suspension grid created by the MF ceiling components will be fully concealed and the ceiling lining is joint-treated to provide attractive appearance that has a smooth finish without visible joints.
The metal channels can be easily cut to size and then assembled to form a grid system which is suspended by either strap hangers or galvanised angle sections that are fixed to the structural soffits. Boards can then be fixed directly onto the underside of the steel framework using self tapping screws.
MF ceilings are suitable for use in all commercial and residential buildings & provide a wide range of benefits including:
• Light weight, Quick and easy to install
• Durable and impact resistant ceiling lining
• Design flexibility : steps, coffers, curvature is easily possible
• Smooth and flush finish with various surface finishes
• Easy to maintain concealed wire management system
